Job Summary:
As a Prophet, you will serve as a crucial intermediary between the earthly realm and the divine (or cosmic, depending on your preferred source of inspiration). Your primary responsibility is to receive, interpret, and effectively communicate vital messages, warnings, and guidance to humanity. This role demands exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of human nature (both its brilliance and its baffling tendencies), and an unwavering commitment to ethical and moral principles. Success in this role is measured not by quarterly profits, but by the overall trajectory of societal wellbeing and spiritual enlightenment (however you choose to define those).
Key Responsibilities:
Divine Communication & Interpretation: Regularly and reliably access and interpret messages, visions, dreams, or other forms of communication emanating from the designated higher power or source of cosmic wisdom. Ability to differentiate genuine divine input from personal biases is crucial.
Message Articulation & Delivery: Translate complex, often metaphorical, divine insights into clear, concise, and impactful messages for diverse audiences. This includes developing effective communication strategies across various mediums – scrolls, speeches, social media (we’re flexible!), and potentially even overshadowed trance if the message demands it.
Ethical and Moral Guidance: Provide unwavering ethical and moral leadership to communities and individuals, aligning pronouncements with core values of compassion, justice, and long-term sustainability. Must be adept at navigating complex ethical dilemmas and offering solutions that are both divinely inspired and practically applicable (within reason).
Foresight and Trend Analysis: Utilise prophetic abilities to discern future trends, potential societal pitfalls, and opportunities for growth and improvement. Essentially, act as humanity’s early warning system, flagging impending crises and suggesting proactive measures. Think of it as spiritual strategic forecasting.
Community Engagement & Relationship Management: Engage with diverse communities, build trust, and effectively disseminate prophetic messages. This requires strong interpersonal skills, patience when dealing with scepticism (and outright mockery), and the ability to build consensus (even when delivering potentially unpopular truths).
Crisis Management & Intervention: In times of societal upheaval or moral decay, provide clear and decisive prophetic guidance to help navigate crises, resolve conflicts, and steer humanity back onto a positive path. Think of yourself as a spiritual emergency responder.
Documentation & Archiving: Maintain accurate records of prophecies, interpretations, and their subsequent impact on society. While divine inspiration is paramount, basic documentation skills (or at least a reliable scribe) are essential for historical accuracy and future reference.
Required Experience & Skills:
Proven Track Record of Visionary Thinking: Demonstrated ability to “see beyond the horizon” and anticipate future trends and challenges. Prior experience in strategic planning, long-term forecasting, or even just being incredibly insightful is beneficial.
Exceptional Communication Skills: Mastery of both verbal and written communication is paramount. Must be able to articulate complex and abstract concepts in a clear, persuasive, and memorable manner. Experience in public speaking, storytelling, and conflict resolution is highly valued.
Deep Understanding of Human Nature: Extensive knowledge of human psychology, sociology, and history is essential. Prophets need to understand the motivations, flaws, and potential of humanity to effectively guide them. A degree in Philosophy, Anthropology, or “Life Experience” considered advantageous.

Spiritual Aptitude (Naturally): While we can’t explicitly require “divinely inspired,” a demonstrable aptitude for spiritual connection, intuition, and accessing non-ordinary states of consciousness is, shall we say, strongly preferred. References from reputable deities or spiritual entities considered a plus.
