The true character of the Prophet Mohammed is not widely known in the West, due, in part, to the slanted media coverage that is sometimes prevalent, which portrayal of Mohammed is often generated as a result of the violent actions of those who wrongly claim to be genuine followers of the Prophet, but whose behaviours and nasty attitudes demonstrate that in actual fact they’re not, when measured against the Prophet’s own example. Indeed, Michael H. Hart, a Christian American scholar, placed Mohammed top of a list of the 100 Most Influential Persons in History. (See 1, and 2.) Let’s take a brief look at some examples of the Prophet Mohammed’s kindness, to get a better sense of the true character and conduct of this esteemed individual.
Firstly, the Prophet Mohammed was known for his exceptional kindness and compassion towards all people, regardless of their background or beliefs. His kindness extended to both Muslims and non-Muslims alike, and he was always willing to help those in need.
The Prophet’s Kindness Towards the Poor and Needy
