Unmasking the Truth Behind a Harmful Tradition

Across cultures and religions, animal sacrifices have been a long-standing practice, often justified as a means to appease higher powers or deities. However, a closer examination of this tradition reveals a disturbing reality. Clearly, animal sacrifices are either an expression of hurtful, manmade beliefs and behaviour or the worship of lower-level spirits, fundamentally at odds with the highest form of Divinity, which is inherently linked to Love.

A Legacy of Violence

Animal sacrifices have been perpetuated for centuries, with the supposed intention of pleasing a higher power or seeking blessings. This practice is often shrouded in a cloak of superstition, obscuring the inherent cruelty and harm inflicted upon innocent creatures. Whether it’s the sacrificing of goats, sheep, or even dogs, the act of taking a life is a blatant disregard for the well-being and rights of another living being.

Not only do animal sacrifices promote a culture of violence and disregard for life, but they also perpetuate harmful beliefs and attitudes towards animals. By viewing them as mere commodities to be used and discarded, we reinforce a mentality of exploitation and domination, rather than compassion and respect. This mindset has far-reaching consequences, contributing to systemic animal abuse, environmental degradation, and even interpersonal violence.

Worshiping Lower-Level Spirits

In many cases, animal sacrifices are believed to appease lower-level spirits or entities, often depicted as demanding blood and flesh in exchange for favours or protection. This form of worship is fundamentally at odds with the concept of a loving, compassionate, and omniscient higher power. The notion that a supreme being would require or condone the suffering and death of innocent creatures is a flawed and harmful belief.

The fact that animal sacrifices are practised by some and not by others, suggests that lower-level entities influence susceptible, or nasty-minded individuals in faiths within which more spiritually evolved practitioners also practice, who do not condone such cruel behaviours, because they align themselves with higher powers. The same can be said, when offering an explanation for the stark contrast that exists between the loving saints and prophets that can be found in some of the World Religions, alongside the bloodthirsty terrorists, Puritans and Inquisition members who also claim to practice the same faiths. Truly, the saying, ‘You will know them by their fruits’, explains this mismatch.

By engaging in animal sacrifices, we are, in effect, worshiping entities that are far removed from the ideals of Love, empathy, and kindness. We create a spiritual hierarchy where power and dominance are valued above all else, eroding the very fabric of our moral and ethical frameworks. This warped perspective seeps into our collective psyche, influencing our relationships with each other, the natural world, and ourselves.

The Highest Form of Divinity: Love

In stark contrast, the highest form of Divinity is inherently linked to Love, compassion, and empathy. A benevolent, all-knowing, and all-powerful creator would never condone or require the harm or sacrifice of any living being. Rather, a higher power would inspire us to cultivate love, kindness, and understanding towards all creations, recognising the interconnectedness and sacredness of life.

This understanding of Divinity encourages us to elevate our actions and beliefs, fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and care for all living beings. By acknowledging the inherent value and dignity of every life, we can create a world where compassion, justice, and harmony reign supreme.

Breaking Free from Harmful Traditions

As we move forward, it is essential to reexamine and challenge the harmful beliefs and practices that have been perpetuated for centuries. We must recognise the inherent cruelty and violence embedded in animal sacrifices and seek to create a world where love, kindness, and compassion are the guiding principles of our actions.

By embracing a worldview that prioritises the well-being and dignity of all living beings, we can create a brighter, more just, and loving future. It is time to break free from the shackles of harmful traditions and embark on a path that honours the sacredness of life and the highest form of Divinity – Love.
